EMERGENCIES…What to do during and after hours

What is an Emergency?

During business hours, please call ahead so that we can be prepared to meet your needs.

In case of emergency during regular office hours, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, (Monday -Friday) please call our office at 704-827-0616. We ask that you call ahead of time so that we can be prepared to meet your needs when you come in.

  • Heat injury
  • Seizures
  • Bloat
  • Lacerations
  • Bite wounds
  • Abdominal pain
  • Vomiting, no appetite
  • Foreign body obstruction
  • Poisoning
  • Ocular pain
  • Sudden abnormal behavior
  • Labored breathing
  • Unable to urinate
  • Painful urination
  • Anemia
Your pet should be adequately restrained. If you need help carrying your pet in, the staff will be glad to assist you. Any injured animal may bite out of pain and fear. If you are aware that your pet may bite, please alert the veterinarian and staff.


Should an emergency occur after our regular business hours, during the weekend or on the holidays, we have a choice of veterinary services to choose from in Gaston County or Mecklenburg County.
